Frequently Asked Questions

Total 20 FAQs

What kind of company is Planning Sun?

Planning Sun is a Korea-based automation engineering company specializing in vacuum blood collection tube manufacturing automation, semiconductor automation, and customized industrial automation systems. We provide solutions tailored to each customer's production process and product specifications.

What automation solutions does Planning Sun provide?

Our main solution is the Vacuum Blood Collection Tube Automation System, which can automate key processes from tube feeding and reagent dispensing to vacuum creation, cap assembly, labeling, inspection, and packaging. We also develop customized automation equipment for semiconductor and general industrial applications.

Which processes can be automated in the vacuum blood collection tube production line?

The system can be configured as an inline automation line covering tube feeding and orientation, reagent dispensing, vacuum creation, cap assembly, labeling, vision inspection, defect rejection, packaging, and finished-product discharge.

How much installation space is required for the equipment?

The required installation space depends on the production process, automation scope, production capacity, and optional equipment. After reviewing the customer's factory layout and available space, Planning Sun can propose an optimized equipment layout for the project.

What types of vacuum blood collection tubes can the system produce?

The system can support various tube types, including EDTA K2/K3, Sodium Citrate (BCA), Heparin, Fluoride/Glucose, Plain/Serum, and Gel tubes. Final configuration is determined according to the customer's product specifications and process requirements.

What is the production capacity of the equipment?

Depending on the equipment model, production capacities range from approximately 12,000 to 20,000 tubes per hour for EDTA, BCA, and Heparin products, while Glucose-series lines can be configured for an output of approximately 8,000 to 10,000 tubes per hour, subject to reagent characteristics and process conditions. High-speed specifications can be discussed separately.

How many operators are required to operate the production line?

The required manpower depends on the automation scope and production conditions. Planning Sun systems are designed for minimal operator intervention, and a fully configured line can typically be operated with approximately 1 to 1.5 operators.

What tube sizes are supported by the system?

The standard system supports Ø13×75 mm and Ø13×100 mm tubes using dedicated changeover jigs. The Ø16×100 mm tube is compatible with dedicated or multi-purpose equipment. Other tube dimensions can be reviewed and customized according to customer requirements.

Can the equipment be customized for the customer's tube and cap specifications?

Yes. We review the customer's tube dimensions, geometry, cap design, and assembly method in advance and customize the feeding system, jigs, and assembly modules accordingly.

Can the dispensing system handle EDTA, Heparin, BCA and other reagents?

Yes. The dispensing method is selected according to reagent viscosity, spray characteristics, target volume, and production speed. Depending on the reagent, spray dispensing, precision dispensing, or a dedicated dispensing system can be applied.

How accurate is the reagent dispensing system?

Planning Sun's micro-liter level Micro-Spray system can achieve within ±5% dispensing accuracy under applicable conditions. Final performance is verified according to the reagent, dispensing volume, and actual production conditions.

Can production parameters be saved and recalled using recipes?

Yes. Key production parameters can be saved as individual product recipes and recalled when required. This minimizes manual setup and helps maintain consistent production conditions between batches.

How is product changeover performed?

Product changeover is performed by recalling the required recipe and replacing the necessary jigs or change parts. The system is designed to minimize setup time and reduce operator errors during product changeover.

How is the vacuum level set and controlled?

Vacuum conditions can be set according to the tube specification and required blood draw volume. Process parameters are controlled to achieve stable vacuum performance and are optimized based on the customer's product specifications.

Can labeling and label inspection be integrated into the production line?

Yes. An automatic labeling system can be integrated into the production line. Printing, label position verification, and vision inspection functions can also be added when required.

Can the system be customized according to the customer's production process?

Yes. Planning Sun does not only supply standard machines. We analyze the customer's production volume, factory layout, product range, process method, and required automation scope to design an optimized solution.

Can Planning Sun automate or retrofit only part of an existing production line?

Yes. In addition to complete new production lines, we can review module upgrades and retrofit projects for existing lines to improve productivity, reduce manual work, and enhance process quality.

What is the typical manufacturing and delivery lead time?

Lead time varies depending on system configuration, automation scope, customized specifications, and optional functions. After reviewing the customer's requirements, we provide a proposed manufacturing and delivery schedule together with the technical proposal.

Does Planning Sun provide overseas installation, commissioning, and operator training?

Yes. Depending on project conditions, Planning Sun can provide on-site installation, commissioning, production testing, and operator training overseas. Operation and maintenance training can also be provided for stable equipment operation.

How does Planning Sun provide after-sales service and spare parts support?

After equipment delivery, we provide technical consultation, troubleshooting, spare parts supply, and on-site technical support when required. Recommended consumables and spare parts lists can also be provided to support stable long-term operation.
